THE SECOND FRIDAY COFFEEHOUSE

Beneficiaries

  • In women’s shelters, men’s shelters, soup kitchens, and family residences, Bristol Lodge provides food, shelter, and support to make a life-saving transition from homelessness and helplessness to hope and self-reliance.
     
  • The Alaska AIDS Ride raises funds for research for an AIDS vaccine, to eradicate this plague.
     
  • The Children’s Room is a recently established organization struggling to fill a crucial gap in the in the lives of young children who are grieving incomprehensible losses.
     
  • The Grow Clinic at Boston City Hospital  rescues young lives that are under the threat of permanent damage from malnutrition.
     
  • Belmont citizens are working with the support of Recycling Action to bring much-needed strengthening of our recycling programs and take a leadership role in protecting our environment.
     
  • YouthBuild helps at-risk, drop-out youth to achieve construction skills, a G.E.D., and employment experience as they build low-income housing.
     
  • Communities for People changes the lives of countless children and families as they place and support the successful transitions of “difficult to adopt” young people.
     
  • Our Sister Church in Desfalva, Romania, can make enormous educational, material, and spiritual inroads into the damage of decades of oppression with even the smallest of contributions.
     
  • Women who take that frightening first step of taking their children and leaving an abusive relationship get the safety, support, and life skills they need to escape and become independent at Renewal House.
