"A MOTHER'S DAY TRIBUTE" Rev. Doris L. Hunter
Words by Polly Leland MayerAs we come together, may we find cessation of whatever personal turmoil accompanies us. May we seek forgiveness for harsh words uttered, or healing words left unsaid. May each of us find strength to endure difficulty, may we find acceptance of those we may not understand. As this season becomes more glorious with each passing day, may we be aware of each and every miracle around us, and be glad: On this day when custom reminds us to remember those who gave us life and nurtured our early years, let us give deep thanks for each person, family or friend, who loved and guided us to be who we are today. May we find ways to express that love in words and in the ongoing integrity of our lives. And let us be supporters of each other in this uncertain venture that is our shared life, that our lives may be strengthened and enriched.
The flowers this Sunday are given by Carolyn Bailey and Adriana and Dylan Akers in loving memory of Carolyn's father and Adriana and Dylan's grandfather.
