FCB Youth Group: Social Action Holiday Gift Fair—Bake Sale Fundraiser

This Sunday, December 8, the Youth Group will look a little different! Instead of our regular gathering, we’ll be hosting a bake sale at the Social Action Holiday Gift Fair.

This annual tradition at First Church brings together community members and local artisans to sell their handmade goods, with 50% of all proceeds supporting a project, cause, or organization that aligns with our UU values. The Youth Group is invited each year to join this meaningful event as a fundraiser for our service learning trips.

Here’s how you can help:

• Bake: Each youth is encouraged to bake two dozen treats to sell at the fair. All baked goods must be individually wrapped and labeled with ingredients.

• Volunteer: We’re looking for youth and parents to staff the bake sale booth in 1-2 hour shifts between 12:00 and 4:00 pm.

As the next generation of dreamers and world changers, the youth group program is here to help the FCB youth become enlightened and empowered — armed with everything they need to lead openhearted & open-minded lives.

We are a welcoming safe space dedicated to personal, spiritual, and social exploration, as well as fun and snacks.

Each year we build a unique covenant to suit the needs of our ever-growing community, which includes how we choose to show up for ourselves, one another, and in the world.

We meet almost every Sunday night from 7:00-9:00 pm and enjoy 1-2 overnight retreats and fun offsite social events throughout the year.
