Informational Session for a Pilgrimage in the Scottish Highlands

Join members of First Church Belmont and First Parish Cambridge for a walking pilgrimage in the Scottish Highlands in May 2026. Together, we will journey 9 days along the West Highland Way through the Highlands’ most stunning landscapes. A walking pilgrimage is a spiritual practice that connects us to the Earth, to one another, and to our own souls. As we walk through breathtaking landscapes, we also explore the inner terrain of our hearts and souls with the help of daily readings, questions, spiritual practices, and group reflection. In difficult and anxious times, walking pilgrimage is a spiritual practice that can ground and center us. It is well-suited to those who find themselves at an inflection point in their lives and who wish to explore where life’s journey may lead them next.

This pilgrimage is a shared ministry of The First Parish in Cambridge and The First Church of Belmont. Our pilgrimage leaders will be Rev. Rob Hardies (Cambridge) and Rev. Chris Jablonski (Belmont), who have more than twenty years of experience leading UU congregations on service trips and pilgrimages.
