About The Event
Please join us in removing the Akebia (chocolate vine) that smothers young trees in Lone Tree Hill! Meet us at 9:30 this Sunday, September 29 (and also the following Saturday, October 5) at the kiosk where the trail turns right, just up the Coal Road Trail fire road from Pleasant St. (Enter on foot or bike opposite 1010 Pleasant St., across the Star Market parking lot and then a few yards right from Waverley Square.) Gardening or work gloves are needed; pruners and small digging tools are welcome. Usual tick-preventive measures (see our welcome message) are recommended.
You are welcome to call or text Dean @ 312 752 8289 or Leonard @ 201 461 6171 if you need help finding us then.
Ou our waiver and a trail map of Lone Tree Hill (our meeting place is at the bend in the Coal Road Trail next to the now-dry brook near the map's bottom) are attached below.
Join us to enjoy and protect together the natural plant communities we love!
