About The Event

Come and enjoy a Wigilia! What is the Polish tradition of Wigilia? Wigilia (Polish pronunciation: [viˈɡilʲa]) is the traditional Christmas Eve vigil supper in Poland. People are convinced in the fact that in the way they spend Christmas Eve the whole year will pass. Therefore, they try to make this day really fabulous and warm. This meatless meal is usually eaten after sundown on December 24, after the first star appears in the sky. Old world tradition calls for twelve courses. You will learn all about the tradition, and feast on 12 plant based dishes. A suggested donation of $20 per person to help offset costs is requested on the day. After the meal you will be sent all the recipes and a brief history of Wigilia to share with others. Follow the link to sign up for the event.
