Here are some opportunities for climate action and education for the month of April. April is the month in which Earth Day is celebrated—an extra reason to take extra actions this month!

1) Eleventh Hour Bell Ringing - in front of First Church
Thursday, April 11, 10:45 - 11:15 am
Please join us for monthly bell ringing and sign-holding to bring attention to the climate crisis. Bring your own musical instruments!
2) Sign on to 40 for the Earth at Coffee Hours - at First Church
Every Sunday in April, FCB Green will have tables at Coffee Hours after services so that people can commit to earth-friendly practices. Some suggestions are attached to this email.
3) Join Sustainable Belmont and Solid Waste & Recycling Committee for a Discussion about Waste! - on Zoom
Thursday, April 4th at 7 pm on Zoom
Doug Koplow, Julie Wu, and Terri Goldberg from the Belmont Solid Waste and Recycling Committee will discuss:
Belmont’s solid waste & recycling program, including an overview of current services
Food waste and composting options
Transitioning from a waste economy to a circular economy, including Product Stewardship to ensure that products are responsibly managed from design to end-of-life
Examples of Massachusetts state legislation worth supporting
4) Check out the Massachusetts State-Wide Climate Action Campaign
