Here are some opportunities for climate action and education for the month of March.

1) Eleventh Hour Bell Ringing - in front of First Church

Monday, March 11, 10:45 - 11:15 am

Please join us for monthly bell ringing and sign-holding to bring attention to the climate crisis. Bring your own musical instruments!


2) Social Action Presents: FCB Green - Parish Hall - Bagels and Presentations

Sunday, March 10, noon - 1:30

Members of FCB Green will present information about some of our current initiatives, including decarbonizing church property, growing native plants on church grounds and at home, and advocating for legislation and policies addressing the climate crisis.


3) UU Mass Action Advocacy Day - on Zoom

Tuesday, March 26, 10 am - 4:30 pm

 

Join UU Mass Action for our annual Virtual UU Advocacy Day to live out our values and support our campaigns by taking action together! Participants will meet with legislators about our five key campaign issues, including environmental and climate justice.


4) Stop Private Jet Expansion Webinar

Wed, March 6th at 7 pm 

With information/updates on:

  • The private jet hangar expansion plans – what the developers are saying now

  • Climate impacts of the proposed expansion & why it’s a statewide issue

  • Next steps in MEPA state environmental review, including public comments

  • What you can do to help stop the largest private jet hangar expansion in New England and possibly the nation

Confirmed speakers so far:
