    Let's bring food back to our coffee hours! Please sign up to bring in one (or more) finger food item serving for ~20 people on a date(s) of your choice. Please drop off item to the kitchen before your service on Sunday; fill out the allergies card provided at the table. NO Nuts, please!   • OWL Registrations are OPEN for 2026!

    We are thrilled that registration for the Our Whole Lives (OWL) Sexuality Education Program is now OPEN for the Spring 2026 programs at First Church in Belmont! We believe that honest, accurate information about sexuality changes lives. It dismantles stereotypes and assumptions, builds self-acceptance and self-esteem, fosters healthy relationships, improves decision making, and has the potential to save lives. For these reasons and more, we are proud to offer OWL, a comprehensive, lifespan sexuality education curricula in our community. We offer OWL for children in Grades 5-6. Class will take place Sunday mornings 11:00am - 12:30pm at FCB from January to April. Register your 5th/6th Grader here! The cost is free for FCB member families and $150 for families from the community. We also offer OWL for youth in Grades 8-9. Class takes place Sunday evenings 4:00 - 6:00pm at FCB January to June. Register your 8th/9th Grader here! The cost is $200 for youth of member families and $400 for youth of non-member families. You may share this page with non-FCB families. The classes are open to families and children from our larger community as well. If you have any questions about the class, don't hesitate to reach out to Rev Martha or Elliott. We can't wait to have your youth on board!

A One-Room-Schoolhouse Style RE Lesson is offered during the 9:00am service. Age-Based RE classes are offered during the 11:00am service. Don't forget to register your children for the program here! Upcoming "A Charlie Brown Christmas" Concert and Holiday Party : On  December 6th , the Music Program and Religious Education Program will co-host a Holiday Party! The Heather Pierson Trio performs the entirety of ‘A Charlie Brown Christmas’ album. After the concert, stay for a wonderful holiday party, full of food, crafts and fun for the whole family! Tickets are $25 for adults, and $10 for children 14 and younger. Here is the link to register:  A Charlie Brown Christmas Concert & Family Winter Holiday Party | Parish Hall Volunteering Opportunity at the Holiday Party: Are you interested in volunteering or donating to the Holiday Party? Red Cross Infant Babysitting and CPR Class: Class will take place Sunday, December 21st 11:30am - 6:00pm with breaks and lunch. It wull be held at First Church in Belmont in the Parish Hall. After you successfully complete the class, you will be Red Cross CPR Certified! If you are a nursery care worker at FCB or plan to be, the cost is covered. If you are a member of First Church in Belmont, there is no cost. If you are not a member, the cost is $150.  More information and sign-up here.   • In Memoriam: Laura Glassman

    It is with heavy hearts that we write to share that Laura Glassman died this past Saturday. In her brief time at First Church, Laura became cherished by so many. We are deeply grateful for her generous heart, her creative spirit and her abiding love.    We are in conversation with her family and will share details soon about a celebration of her life.    As always, if you are in need of pastoral or emotional support, please reach out.
