Youth-led Worship: Retrofuturism

First Church Youth Group will be leading both Sunday morning services. They will share Coming of Age Credos and faith statements, Senior Reflections, poems, music and more. The theme they've chosen is Retrofuturism, which is a movement in the creative arts showing the influence of depictions of the future produced in an earlier era. If futurism is sometimes called a "science" bent on anticipating what will come, retrofuturism is the remembering of that anticipation. They will explore their own histories and reflcect on what they thought their futures would hold agaisnt the stories that actually unfolded. Woven within the theme they will share moments of hopes, dreams and memories. We hope you will join us.
