Our Power, Our Planet
April 19 · 11:00 AM · Sanctuary
As a faith community, we have the power to take action to protect the planet ourselves. When we act, it is a form of resistance and a source of hope. Progress happens when people show up. Clean air, safe water, and climate resilience are essential. We need to mobilize at scale. Every action counts. Every voice matters. What can YOU control? What can we—at First Church—control? Join FCB Green for an exploration of Earth Day. All-ages Children’s Chapel RE Program will be happening and childcare is provided.

Words of Offering
Offertory An Die Natur, by Franz Schubert, text by Friedrich Leopold Stolberg; Laura Couch, alto
Sweet, holy nature, let me walk upon your pathway,
lead me by the hand, like a child on the reins!
Then, when I am weary, I shall sink down on your breast,
and breathe the sweet joys of heaven suckling at your maternal breast.
Ah, how happy I am to be with you! I shall love you for ever;
let me walk upon your pathway, sweet, holy nature!
Doxology
From all that dwell below the skies;
Let words of love and peace arise;
Let joyful songs of praise be sung;
Through every land by every tongue. Amen.
