The First Church in Belmont youth program welcomes all 9th-12th graders. We offer a safe and supportive space where youth can explore their faith, identity, and their roles in society, fostering growth and connection. Our Youth Programs Youth Group As the next generation of dreamers and world changers, the youth group program is here to help the FCB youth become enlightened and empowered — armed with everything they need to lead openhearted & open minded lives. We are a welcoming safe space dedicated to personal, spiritual and social exploration, as well as fun and snacks. Each year we build a unique covenant to suit the needs of our ever growing community, which includes how we choose to show up for ourselves, one another and in the world. We meet most Sunday evenings from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m., and have fun offsite social events throughout the year. Register Here UU Mass Action Youth Corps At FCB, our youth group collaborates with the UU Mass Action Youth Corps, a dynamic program that unites high-school aged leaders passionate about social justice and activism from various UU churches across Greater Boston and beyond to take meaningful action together. Youth from different UU congregations can join the Youth Corps Leadership Team, where they develop their leadership skills through collaborating to plan events and actions. These dedicated young leaders hold regular meetings and organize larger youth-focused Youth Corps events and actions that welcome participation from all UU youth groups in the region. As part of this partnership, our FCB youth group joins hands with the Youth Corps to attend their fantastic events and actions they organize throughout the year. These events offer unique opportunities for personal growth, activism, and community engagement. Belmont UU Alliance: A Review of Religious Education and Family Ministries at First Church May 14 · 11:00 AM · Online Join Assistant Minister Martha Durkee-Neuman to talk about how the year of Religious Education and Family Ministries at First Church in Belmont has gone and what is in store for next year. Rev Martha will explore values of faith formation, what a lifespan learning program means, and how we all contribute to creating this program together.
