  • WordSong: One Text. Four Composers. A Public ConversationSun, Dec 14 · Sanctuary

WordSong: One Text. Four Composers. A Public Conversation December 14 · 7:00 PM · Sanctuary Join us on December 14, to explore the intersection between poetry and music in an interactive concert setting. Listen and reflect on different interpretations of the same poem. Intended for folks of many ages, who are interested in the intersection between poetry and music. How WordSong works First, we all read a given poem and listeners give their reactions. Then performers play composers’s settings of the poem; and then listeners, composers, and performers have an open conversation about what we all just heard and felt: a dialogue reflecting various points of view and what they all have in common. In the course of the discussion, each of the pieces is played again. A WordSong forum is all about communal reflection on multiplicity: multiple settings, multiple hearings, multiple meanings. Together, we discover how a single, familiar text can inspire a variety of thoughts and feelings; we explore our perspectives and yours and how they are represented in the various meldings of words, ideas, and music. We hope you will join us in this exploration of multiplicity, this interaction between the familiar and the unfamiliar, this new way to experience new music!

If you are unable to see your information it may be that the information you entered at sign up doesn’t quite match what we have for you on file. That’s OK – it just means we need to manually validate your account. (This is a security feature.) Please allow 72 hours for your account to be validated. If it has not been done by that time, please send an email and a member from the database committee will be in touch. 5. How do I update my profile and contact information? Log in to your Fellowship One account. From the Home page, click Update Profile. On the right, under Actions, click “Update your profile”. Fill in or change your contact information. Scroll to the bottom of the screen and click “Save changes”. 6. I don’t see the Church Directory on the Home screen? To see the online Church Directory, you have to agree to appear in the online Church Directory. Go to Privacy Settings. How do I join the online Church Directory? Thanks for asking! The more people that opt into the online Church Directory, the greater benefit to all of us at First Church. It’s easy – Log in to your Fellowship One account. Select the “Home” options in the top menu selections. Select “Privacy Settings”. Log in to your Fellowship One account. Select the “Home” options in the top menu selections. Select “Privacy Settings”. Use the sliders to control how much information people in the church will see about you. Please note that “Everyone” means “Other church members who also have a validated Fellowship One account”. It doesn’t mean “everyone in the world on the Internet”. We hope you will opt into the online Church Directory by clicking “Include me in the church directory”. To see other people in the online Church Directory you have to opt in too. Click “Save privacy settings” at the bottom of the screen. 10. What are Groups? A Group is what Fellowship One calls any collection of people that come together at the church on a regular basis. At First Church, each of our committees, governing bodies, small group ministries, and ongoing adult programs is a Group. Groups have leaders and members. Group leaders and members can see who belongs to their group. Group leaders and members can send e-mail to everyone in the group or a subset of the group. Group leaders can add and invite people to the group, keeping the group roster up-to-date without relying on the church office. As an individual you can search for groups that are of interest to you and make requests to join those groups. Use “Find a Group” and follow the instructions to search for a group and contact the leader. You should receive a response shortly. If you are having trouble finding a particular group, choose -any- in search categories and scroll through the list. Are you a Group Leader? Learn how to use Fellowship One for your group . 11. How do I upload a picture to my profile? Adding a photo helps us all get to know each other more easily. Log in to your Fellowship One account. Select “Update Profile” Under the Actions on the the right, select “Update Your Profile” Find your name in the upper left corner of the page. To the left of your First Name is a photo or default picture. Click change. Browse your computer for the picture you would like to upload (pictures cannot exceed 1mb) Select the photo to add. At the bottom of the screen select “Save changes”. (Your picture will not display in Fellowship One until you save changes.) 12. Will I receive email from Fellowship One? Our church staff, group leaders and group members may use Fellowship One to send church-related emails to you You will not receive promotional email from Fellowship One and Fellowship One will not share your email address with a third party (i.e. a party outside of our church or Fellowship One). When church staff and leaders send email from Fellowship One, your email address is hidden from others who are also receiving the email. This is a nice feature which helps protect the privacy of your email address. Emails from Fellowship One come from Fellowshiponemail@activenetwork.com . Add this email address to your contact list to reduce the risk of these emails going to your Spam or Junk folder. 13. Why do you need my birth date? There are a few reasons: Fellowship-One uses it as an identifier. It helps to distinguish between people with the same name and address. You will be asked for your birthday if you forget your username and password. It is used as a security precaution to protect your account. Knowing your life stage helps us make sure you get information that is helpful to you. Certain events are adult only, so birth date prevents children from registering Only children 13 and older are permitted to create a Fellowship One Account. 14. Will my information be given to any third parties? Your information is held securely by the Fellowship One system. Neither Fellowship One nor First Church Belmont will share your information with a third party. 15. What can I do in Fellowship One using my mobile device? Please send an email and someone from the church membership database committee will be happy to answer questions or offer assistance. Back To Giving >> 1. 2 3 4 5 6 7 9 11 10 8 12 13 14 15 16 17
