This year, we will be performing 13: The Musical, with music by Jason Robert Brown, based on the book by Dan Elish and Robert Horn. A hilarious, high-energy coming-of-age story, 13 follows Evan Goldman, a New York City kid uprooted to small-town Indiana following his parents’ divorce. Determined to throw the coolest party ever, and desperate to fit in with the “right” crowd, Evan schemes, negotiates, and learns (the hard way) what friendship really means.

Every year, the Children’s Choir program at First Church begins with a fully staged musical, featuring more than 60 young performers. Past productions have included Once Upon a Mattress, Pirates of Penzance, Shrek, Disney's Newsies, The Sound of Music, and more. The program is open to all children from kindergarten through 9th Grade and everyone who wants to participate gets a part!
