Climate Crisis Responders Newsletter

Dear FCB Climate Crisis Responders,

Here are some opportunities for climate action, education, and advocacy for the month of January.

1) Wednesday, Jan 8, 7:30-9:00 pm — in the Library:

The  third session of the Climate and Environment Justice Workshop led by David Deese

Land use, agriculture & forests, with a special focus on Brazil & the Amazon (including Indigenous peoples’ rights, preferences, & responses).

Guest - Angelo Gurgel, Principal Scientist, Center for Climate Science and Policy, MIT (an internationally recognized, Brazilian agricultural economist)

2) Consider New Year's Resolution to strengthen your environmentally conscious practices!

Less red meat consumption?  Less air travel?  More walking?  Turning the heat down and putting on sweaters, in memory of President Carter?

3)  Donate!

Consider donating to your favorite environmental organizations we need now more than ever. . . .

4) Eleventh Hour Bell Ringing — in front of the church

Saturday, January 11, at 10:45-11:15 am.

Please join us for monthly bell ringing and sign-holding to bring attention to the climate crisis.

The Church bell is working again - come pull the rope and sound the bell!
