What's happening in Religious Education?

Hello! This is Martha, your new Assistant Minister for Lifespan Faith Formation. We are in the process of designing and imaging what our Religious Education program will be like this year. I cannot do this without your help! In the meantime, here's some updates on what is to come and what you can expect on Sunday mornings:

Sunday, September 22nd: all children will be invited to start in worship and depart together with me after the Time For All Ages story in both the 9:00am and 11:00am service. We will have an "All Ages Children's Chapel" lesson in which all kids will be in one class together with me. This Sunday we will be talking about who makes up the church and then making a craft about our hopes for the year. Chapel lessons reflect the worship theme and the structure of Sunday worship. All ages of kids are welcome. The nursery will be open for kids ages 0-6.

Sunday, September 29th: this worship will be intentionally multigenerational with opportunities for kids participation. Faith formation this week is worship together as a Whole Church! The theme of the worship will be around religious education. The nursery will be open for kids ages 0-6.

Sunday, October 6th: this worship (outside! one service!) will also be intentionally multigenerational with opportunities for kids participation (particularly in music!). The nursery will be open for kids ages 0-6.

Stay tuned for more information to come!

Want to help make this program happen? We need you! We cannot launch or run this program without amazing community support. Volunteering and helping with RE is easy and FUN! Contact me at mdneuman@uubelmont.org to get involved. (More opportunities to come!)

AND mark your calendars for a special family-centered Halloween Fair on October 26th -- we will need extra helpers for this! More info to come.
